Digital Connect is privileged to have our workshops supported by a fantastic group of Digital Mentors who volunteer their time to guide and assist our learners to improve their digital skills.
A Digital Mentor (also called a tutor, support or coach) works side by side with learners to help improve their digital skills and promote confidence and independence to address social inclusion in the community.
Supporting digital skills is not all about technical knowledge - you don’t need to be a ‘tech expert’, however you do need to feel confident in using mobile devices and if you don’t know something, have the skills to find out the answer. Most of all, being a Digital Mentor is focused on being good with people. We're always looking for volunteers to assist and support the Digital Connect to deliver the Be Connected digital literacy program. Contact us to register your interest in becoming a volunteer.
